Beyond The Clouds

Villa Altieri, Rome - 23 October 2023 Beyond The Clouds is an Artshares project presented at Villa Altieri in Rome on 23 October 2023. The installation was created as a poetic and symbolic response to the emotional impact of war, starting from the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and from a broader reflection on the role of art in times of violence and division. The project brought together the Ukrainian artist Aljoscha and the Russian artist Ilya Fedotov-Fedorov, inviting them to collaborate on a shared artwork. Their encounter became the core of the project: two artists, two wounded cultural backgrounds, one common creative gesture. Through this collaboration, Beyond The Clouds explored art as a bridge beyond conflict, suffering and the present moment. Inside Villa Altieri, the installation unfolded through suspended, transparent and luminous forms, crossing the museum space with blue, violet and pink reflections. The work created a fragile yet powerful visual presence, entering into dialogue with the architecture, the classical statues and the historical atmosphere of the venue. More than an exhibition, Beyond The Clouds was conceived as a space for reflection and encounter. It showed how contemporary art can become a universal language: not a way to erase conflict, but a way to imagine another horizon beyond it.
