Masha Lovà

Artista

Masha Lovà was born in Siberia, where she received her artistic training, attending art school and developing a visual sensibility deeply rooted in the observation of the human body and emotions. After moving to Italy, she combined her artistic career with extensive experience in the fashion world, which helped shape her aesthetic approach: attentive to detail, gesture, and materials, yet always guided by a subtle emotional tension. She lives and works in Rome, in a studio-penthouse where she creates immersed in urban silence and the constant presence of her two Jack Russell terriers, Zaika and Yoshi — her life companions and recurring figures in her pictorial imagination. Her work focuses on the relationship between humans and animals, on the vulnerability of imperfect bodies, and on the emotional unease hidden behind the most delicate forms. She works primarily with mixed media on canvas and paper, using a pastel color palette that contrasts with the psychological depth of her compositions. Her solo and group exhibitions have been hosted in galleries and independent spaces in Italy and abroad. Her work has garnered attention for its ability to evoke authentic emotions, restoring dignity and depth to the animal world in the contemporary context. She currently lives and works in Italy.
