
Sanja Ilic

Sanja Ilic is a multidisciplinary artist working in sculpture and painting. Sanja grew up in a unique enviorement of her famally metal workshop specialized for machinery and different metal object construction, surrounded by the rhythm of creation, where the raw material transformed into form and funcion — a world where craftsmanship and imagination intertwined. Coming from a family rooted in a blacksmithing tradition, she inherited both a mastery on the skill and method behind creation and a deep respect for the process. After her studies in manufacturing production and finance, and many years of managing the family business, Sanja decided to follow the path of her inner calling, one talent she loved since her childhood — to become a painter. In 2017, she studied Vedic Art, a practice that helped her how to paint in awake intuitive and conscious approach. Continuing this journey, Sanja studied Yoga Psychology and the Chakra system for seven years, exploring the relationship between energy, emotion, and color, as a main subject during her study. Sanja’s work embodies her intimate, playfull relationship with the canvas, a space of full potential, where conture is joyfully divading empthy space with colors.
